We cut our own tree every year, usually at one of two farms in Licking County. We decided to try Mr. Tree this year since it’s closer to Columbus. It has a very friendly and helpful group of staff who will tie your tree to the car for you. The farm is nice and has a good selection of trees in different sizes and types. We weren’t able to drive through the farm today but I guess when the ground isn’t so wet you’re able to, which is nice. The large barn has a small petting zoo which our kids enjoyed. They are VERY pricey, though! 20+ years of “cut your own” and I’ve never spent $130 on a small 6.5’ tree. I don’t know if they charge more because they are closer to the city, but we will be venturing out again to the usual farms next year for a $60-70 tree.
My wife and I went here today and I wanted to share our experience because there are a lot of negative reviews. We did the cut your own tree option. All in all it was a good experience. The staff is friendly and helpful and have a good sense of humor. The tree we cut down was green through and through. There were some trees with brown spots, but you don’t have to cut those ones. You can take your time picking your tree out. I never felt rushed. The cheaper style trees go quickly which is understandable. That being said, don’t come here if you’re expecting to pick up a $20 tree. This is not a Home Depot or some other retailer. You pay for the experience of cutting down your own tree and the top-notch customer service. The staff will come out to you in the field and make sure you know what you’re cutting down. They will wrap your tree for a small fee and mount it to the top of your vehicle. My wife and I enjoyed our experience and will be returning next year.
I could not of have a better experience purchasing a Christmas tree. The staff was super helpful. The prices were fair, and the experience was second to none. The staff was even nice enough to take a photo of me,and my family after I brought the tree. Great experience overall, highly recommended.
Been going to the Mr. Tree farm for years and they are fantastic! Excellent selection, fair prices and great service. You can cut down your own tree or select form precut stock. There is an animal petting zoo and an old rail car that my kids love exploring. I will be giving them my business for years to come!
I absolutely love this Christmas Experience we received at this tree farm. There is a lovely petting zoo with a variety of friendly animals. Nice variety of trees. Was especially happy with the quality of trees and varieties. Staff helpful and always willing to help out.
